Workflow
How Anne prefers to approach a new project
Research
When tackling any scientific piece, Anne begins by learning as much as she can about the topic. Being a student of science makes her a better teacher- having gone through the process of learning a subject, she can improve and facilitate the learning process for any audience. She prefers to start with pencil and paper, simultaneously learning the science and exploring visual explanations

Synthesis and planning
Once she has gained a sufficient understanding of the material, she synthesizes it, organizes it, and edits it to suit her target audience.

Illustration
Once the content and layout has been set, she begins the illustration

Same process, different application
Research & Script Writing
Anne begins by researching her topic so she can make the best decisions possible to communicate the topic, then she writes her script

Storyboard
Next, she illustrates a detailed thumbnail image for each part of the script, including animation and camera directions

Animatic
Then she moves on to developing 3D or 2D assets that will be used in the animation and moves them into her animation software to work out the movement of the main characters

Animation
Finally, she continues refining the movement in the animation and adding in materials, lighting, and compositing with final motion graphics and text
