About Anne Hughes
Anne completed her Masters in biomedical visualization at the University of Illinois at Chicago, one of only five programs in North America. She studied biology at Colorado Mesa University and earned her undergraduate degree in Spanish from the University of Colorado before discovering the field of medical illustration.
Having been a student of science makes Anne better teacher. Going through the process of learning a subject on her own makes it easy to improve and facilitate the learning process for any audience.
Anne believes that scientific content that meets people where they are can be a tool to combat distrust toward the scientific community. Her work makes complex scientific and medical topics approachable to everyone.
